Global Cooling Continues for Third Straight Year

Washington, DC—January 1, 2018—For the third consecutive year, the global temperature of the Earth is below the 30 year average. According to Temperature.Global, a climate website, the 2017 global temperature was approximately 0.26 °C below the 30 year mean. The 2016 global temperature was 0.27 °C below normal and the 2015 temperature was 0.54 °C below normal. Temperature.Global made the calculations using un-adjusted surface temperatures and compared that against a 30 year mean. Their site is updated each minute with new observations from around the globe.

The current Temperature.Global temperature, which only evaluates the latest hour's data, is also well below the long term mean. “Since 2015, the average global temperature is 0.31 °C below normal. There just isn't any warming on a large scale,” Temperature.Global meteorologists state. "Although other climate experts maintain that the Earth has warmed over 1°C during the last century, our method of calculating the global average using surface temperatures and not climate models shows otherwise."

Temperature.Global meteorologists have over 20 years experience collecting and analyzing surface weather observations. Temperature.Global meteorologists hold undergraduate degrees in meteorology and graduate degrees in Climate Studies. Their identity will not be revealed in fear of being professionally targeted as “climate skeptics.”
